National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is celebrated every October by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to honor the contributions of employees with disabilities. The DOL is committed to setting an example as an employer of people with disabilities and works to address their employment barriers. Multiple DOL agencies help people with disabilities find meaningful work and ensure their success on the job. The theme for National Disability Employment Awareness Month 2023 is “Advancing Access and Equity,” which highlights the significance of guaranteeing equal opportunities to prepare for and succeed in employment for disabled individuals.
